The Fanteraction™ remote-control enables people in the audience to know what song is being played, and by what band, in real time.

This is a manual process…
… that involves one of the band members (the drummer for example who’s hidden behind his set) or someone in the audience updating the current band/song through the gig’s mobile remote-control interface. Although the remote-control is designed to be easily operated through a mobile phone, bands could also have someone operate it through a laptop if there’s an Internet connection.

In the example below, band B is playing song a, so the remote-control guy selects accordingly:

If you’ve ever been at a show, enjoying the music, but not knowing what the name of the band was (and much less the name of that song you really liked), you’ll understand why this is a great feature that can add to your gig’s overall experience.

Here’s a step by step procedure of how to set it up:

1. A band must create a gig profile in order to activate a remote-control.

2. The band assigns a password to the remote-control

3. The remote-control lists all of the bands on the bill, as well as all their songs.

4. Throughout the gig, the band (or one of their friends) accesses the remote-control through its mobile interface: http://gigdog.gy/[gigname]/remote.

5. The person in charge of the remote-control can now select which band and what song is playing.

And Voila!
