So when 3 behemoth rock icons come together to form a rock trio, what they come up with in terms of a band name relates to asymmetrical birds of prey. Truly brilliant. Don’t know if that John’s, sixties something, influence that convinced the two other “youngsters” to call their up-and-coming band Them Crooked Vultures, but I like it. I like it a lot.

(just in case: John Paul Jones: bassist, keyboardist, and mandolin player for Led Zeppelin, Dave Grohl: frontman of Foo Fighters, and Josh Homme: founding member of the Queens of the Stone Age)

News just came out that, not only were they releasing on album called “Never Deserved The Future” to be released on October 23 via Interscope, but that they were also going to play an after-party gig at Lollapalooza on August 9th (this Sunday). Apparently this is their first poster:

There must be some heavy introspection going-on between the three of them to consider such a band and album names. Them Crooked Vultures (who) Never Deserved Th(i)e Future? huh?

Anyways, as every single person who has heard about this, extremely curious to hear what these three disheartened marauders have in stock for us.
